Artist Residency 2023
Glenesk Folk Museum
I was artist in residence at the Glenesk Folk Museum in north east Scotland from January to June 2023. The residency was supported by Creative Scotland.
I divided my time between sketching at the museum and developing the paintings at my studio nearby. I also spent time getting to know the glass plate photograph collection of the museum and building a digital archive for them. Read more on this at the Loups Bridge project.
As part of the residency I held a day-long public cyanotype workshop at the Glenesk Folk Museum.
The residency culminated in an exhibition of the works I made during my time at the Glenesk Folk Museum. It was held at the Lochty Gallery in Carnoustie from 8th July to 30th September 2023. The exhibition was supported by AngusAlive Museums and Galleries.
